Location |
 |
High
Rocks is nestled in the midst of over a thousand acres of camp
owned mountain woodland, with an eleven-acre lake, at an elevation
of three thousand feet. We enjoy complete privacy and seclusion,
and yet are just eight miles from our nearest town, Brevard. Asheville
is only thirty-five miles away. |
 |
We
are surrounded by some amazing natural resources. Some of the
areas we visit include the ten thousand acres of Dupont State
Forest and nearby Pisgah National Forest with 504,000+ acres and
some of the most diverse ecosystems on the continent. Pisgah National
Forest is today one of the most picturesque and relatively undeveloped
wilderness areas in the Southeast. Attractions include Looking
Glass Rock, Sliding Rock, The Cradle of Forestry, The Blue Ridge
Parkway, and the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education, along with
altitudes in excess of 6,000 feet! |
