Association for Experiential Education
The safety of our participants is the highest priority. Our risk management plan is the product of knowledge gained from years of working with youth in an adventure education setting. Camp High Rocks is accredited by the Association for Experiential Education (www.aee.org), which is a non-profit organization committed to the safe development of experiential education in all settings. The AEE Accreditation Program is the nation’s first recognized accreditation process focusing on adventure experiential education programming. AEE accredits many of the nation’s leading adventure education programs such as the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and Project Adventure. Leading college and university outdoor programs are also accredited by AEE, including Harvard University, University of New Hampshire, and UNC Chapel Hill. American Camp Association
ACA Accreditation means that Camp High Rocks submitted to a thorough (up to 300 standards) review of its operation by the American Camp Association (ACA) — from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. American Camp Association collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current standards and safety practices at the camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation. Camp High Rocks and ACA form a partnership that promotes summers of growth and fun in an environment where safety is the highest priority.
